Joost Hintjens PhD in applied economics and guest lecturer at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He specializes in maritime logistics, transport, external cost analysis, and spatial planning. His research includes bottleneck analysis in the transport corridor between southern Netherlands and Flanders, as well as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on port throughput in the Hamburg–Le Havre range. He has authored numerous scientific publications in maritime policy and port management.
